A Radio to the Gods

New York journalist Gray Sheridan's career just imploded on live television. He returns to Providence, Rhode Island for a family funeral, expecting to be back in New York in days–and done with  Providence for good.

Then an elaborately staged ritual murder shocks the tight-knit city.

Sensing one last chance to salvage his reputation, Gray launches into an investigation–and finds himself unwillingly partnered with a struggling local psychic whose visions connect her to the crime and place her directly in the killer's sights. Their search uncovers a generations-old occult society hidden in New England's Old Money elite– and its dealings with a far more ancient and dangerous supernatural force pressing in at the edges of events.

As their investigation deepens, fateful decisions and dark bargains made in '30's era speakeasies and supper clubs begin to come full circle in the present. As more bodies appear, the killer's deliberate, macabre artistry reveals an undeniable pattern–and a rapidly approaching endgame. Meanwhile, dark rituals once performed behind velvet ropes resume in the present day, and those responsible won't allow civilian investigators–or the killer himself–to interfere with what has been set in motion.

Dark Providence blends a serial killer thriller with a gothic mystery  about legacy, the price of power, and what happens when "facing your demons" isn't a figure of speech.

For listeners who enjoy Old Gods of Appalachia, Midnight Mass, and Leigh Bardugo's Ninth House novels, Dark Providence invites you to look closer at the past–and consider what might still be looking back.
